Peaceful View

Various Woods, Clear Lacquer Finish, 110″ Wide, 72″ high

Friends of my in-laws commissioned me to create a piece of art to hang over the entrance to the dining room in their new house. The wall was in the living room and the wall adjoining it was floor to ceiling glass. They have a spectacular view from the mountain top for miles around. The vista includes a lake, farm fields planted in different crops, woods and no commercial buildings. It seems to invite contemplation. The piece I created mimics this scene.
